Shore Road, Helensburgh, G84

Description

This well maintained and tastefully decorated main door, ground floor flat offers on-the-level living with magnificent views from front facing apartment over to the shore side and waters of Loch Long. One of the properties most appealing features is that it has a front and back door.

The well laid out accommodation is offered in great condition and comprises a living room with wood burning stove, internal hallway, modern kitchen with a fine selection of floor and wall mounted units and access to the rear garden. There is a double bedroom and a modern shower room. In addition, there is central heating (LPG) and double glazing. Outside at the rear, there are resident's grounds where the bin stores are located and indeed, at the front, parking is provided on a first come, first serve basis.

Across the main Shore Road can be found the shoreline of Loch Long which affords fabulous views over towards Port Glasgow and beyond - the wildlife, scenery and indeed interesting occasional military manoeuvres on the loch (from the nearby naval base) create a landscape that is ever changing and therefore, the agents anticipate a great response from the marketing endeavours and encourage viewing to avoid disappointment.

Cove is located around the Rosneath peninsula which projects south from Garelochhead, separating Gare Loch and Loch Long and forms the north shore of the River Clyde opposite Gourock. Kilcreggan sits at the southern tip of the peninsula, with Kilcreggan to its north east. Kilcreggan has a primary school, GP Surgery, and local shops to include a convenience store, bank, pharmacy, and post office.

Approximately 16 miles away, is the town of Helensburgh, famous for the Charles Rennie Macintosh Hillhouse and the birth place of John Logie Baird. Hermitage Academy secondary school is located in Helensburgh as well as private schooling available at Lomond School.

The scenic coastal road via Rosneath, Clynder, Garelochhead and Helensburgh takes you into Glasgow. Alternatively, the faster MOD road from Arden over the top of Glen Fruin to Loch Lomond and onto Glasgow provides spectacular views and commuting time is approximately one hour.

From Kilcreggan Pier there is a regular passenger ferry to Gourock with onward road and public transport links to Glasgow Airport and Glasgow City Centre. There is also a regular bus service from Kilcreggan to Helensburgh with onward rail links to Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The world-famous Loch Lomond Golf course, part of Scotland's first National Park, which is host to the Scottish Open and other international events, is within 24 miles with excellent fishing and other water sports available. Sailing in the Firth of Clyde with its links via the Kyles of Bute and the Crinan Canal to the western isles is probably some of the most spectacular in Scotland. Cove has its own sailing club and full boat storage, marina and chandlery services are available at Rhu and nearby Rosneath.

Please note that an AML fee is chargeable to the buyer once an offer is accepted to cover the cost of carrying out the required identity and anti-money laundering checks. Once these checks have been completed, the fee cannot be refunded, even if the property purchase does not go ahead.
