5Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Local area is good, fairly quiet and also only 10 minutes from Deansgate, so you can enjoy everything the city has to offer without noise from venues and traffic. Two big shopping centres close by with all the basic shops you would need and two commercial gyms within close distance.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Only faced a problem with the water supply once and they sent regular updates to residents and guidance on contacting the water company. Maintenance requests are always dealt with quickly as well.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing I wish I knew is how busy the lifts are before 10 am and from 4 to 6 pm!

Really love the location! It’s in a lovely, quiet area but still really close to the city centre, so you get the best of both worlds.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
I haven’t had any particular issues to raise, but all my interactions with the staff have been really positive. Everyone is friendly, approachable and helpful, which gives me confidence that any issues would be dealt with well.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
There’s currently construction work going on across the road. It hasn’t caused us any issues, but it’s worth being aware of

Kangaroo Works, S1
5Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
One of the biggest advantages of living at Kangaroo Works is its fantastic location. The building is strategically situated in the heart of Sheffield, with a bus stop directly opposite and the city centre just a five-minute walk away. This makes commuting, shopping, dining and getting around Sheffield incredibly convenient. Everything feels easily accessible, whether you’re heading into town, catching public transport or exploring the surrounding area. The location offers a great balance of convenience and city living, and it’s honestly one of my favourite things about living here.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Thankfully, I haven’t experienced any major issues during my time at Kangaroo Works. However, whenever I’ve needed assistance or had questions, the management team has always been approachable, helpful and willing to listen. They maintain open communication with residents and make it easy to feel comfortable reaching out whenever something needs attention.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I’d known just how much of a community Kangaroo Works would feel like! It’s more than just a modern apartment building. The resident events are a lovely opportunity to meet neighbours and connect with people, and the staff genuinely contribute to making it feel welcoming. My advice to anyone moving in would be to take advantage of the resident events, make use of the gym and enjoy the incredibly convenient location. Having the city centre within walking distance and public transport directly opposite makes everyday life so much easier. After almost three years, I can confidently say that choosing Kangaroo Works was a great decision for me.
