Description

Please quote Reference SH17979 when enquiring by phone.

One of the nicest things about this apartment is that it doesn’t feel tucked away within a retirement development.

The living room opens straight onto the communal gardens, so rather than looking out at a road or another building, there is greenery immediately outside and an easy route into the gardens through the French doors. For a ground-floor apartment, it gives the whole place a much more open feel.

Inside, the accommodation is surprisingly generous.

The living room is over 17 feet long, with enough space for a proper sitting area and dining table without either feeling squeezed in. A separate kitchen sits just off the main room and has plenty of cupboard and worktop space, along with integrated cooking appliances at accessible height and a fridge freezer.

There are two proper double bedrooms rather than one main bedroom and a small spare.

The principal bedroom is around 17 feet long and has its own walk-in storage area and en-suite bathroom, while the second bedroom is large enough to work comfortably as a permanent bedroom, guest room or study. There is also a separate shower room off the hallway, which is particularly useful when family or friends come to stay.

The apartment sits within Lowestone Court, a McCarthy & Stone retirement development on Stone Lane, close to the centre of Kinver.

There is an on-site House Manager during weekday office hours, a secure camera-entry system and 24-hour emergency call facilities, alongside a homeowners’ lounge and a guest suite which can be booked for visiting friends and family.

The communal gardens are beautifully kept, with seating areas dotted throughout, although this particular apartment has the advantage of being able to step straight outside from the living room rather than having to pass through the main building first.

Underfloor heating and double glazing help keep day-to-day living comfortable, while everything within the apartment itself is arranged across one level.

Kinver High Street is close by, with its independent shops, cafés, pubs, restaurants and everyday amenities, while Kinver Edge and the Rock Houses are also within easy reach.

For somebody looking to downsize without giving up useful space, this is a particularly good option. Two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a generous living room and direct access to the gardens, all within walking distance of the village.

Please note: Lowestone Court is an age-restricted retirement development and purchasers must meet the development’s age eligibility requirements.

The estate agent acts for the seller and is there to get the seller the best price possible

Understand the length of time it can take - 14 weeks from when you accept an offer, or have an offer accepted to move in! A long time!

It can get stressful, but speak to your agent and your solicitor and they will put you in the picture
