F&D were by far the best agents in the chain and had it not been for their client management skills in retaining a degree of calm and reality in what is always a stressful situation this sale may not of happened. I would have no hesitation in recommending F&D to anyone that is looking to sell their house. A rare creed in an industry that is often driven only by targets and sales with very little client care in the more difficult elements of the process - Well Done!

There was an immediate sense of professionality and a real sense of history and true local knowledge from my first contact with Farmer and Dyer. Their previous years of success in marketing and sales of property in the area the property I was selling in, was evident and gave a distinct advantage. This was linked with a friendliness and willingness and openness to listen and a desire to give the best advice and support at all times. I also liked the fact they weren't pushy and only got interested parties out for a viewing rather than getting as many as possible just to make the numbers look good. We particularly recommend George and Max who helped us so much and always had time to help however busy they were.Struggled to find areas for improvement but perhaps the aftercare once the property was sold, to get the transaction pushed through

The sale was because of a death and they were sensitive to our circumstances without being over-familiar or dramatic - it was a perfect balance between being respectful, appropriate and friendly. We have been very happy with the service provided by F&D. We dealt with a few different members of staff and found everybody we spoke to helpful, knowledgeable and in general a pleasure to work with.There was a delay further down in the chain and as well as our solicitors, F&D were also on the case every day, chasing the progress of the chain. I had lots of problems with my sale with two buyers pulling out meaning I lost out on two houses. None of this was F&Ds fault but they were very patient and supportive of my circumstances. There was a little confusion about whether I was in a contract with them or not which only came to light when I was looking to market my property with an additional agency after the second buyer dropped out but that was sorted eventually. All in all, I would say F&D are a very good agency, they have a lot of integrity and are not pushing sales for their own benefit but trying to find what's right for their customers

Farmer and Dyer have managed the property for a number of years. They check the condition of the property every 3 months and provide a written report. They manage the recruitment of new tenants and carry out the security checks. They are excellent in selecting good tenants who, to date, have looked after the property and paid their rent on time. The ability to find and bring on board trustworthy tenants is the prime and top reason for using them. The F&D lettings team is efficient in handling the property management company agent on the few occasions that this has been necessary and have been persistent in chasing them to ensure the resolution of any problems raised. The F&D lettings team is also very good at communicating using email to inform us of anything pertaining to the property including monthly statements and switching to phone calls for any urgent matters such as when a broken appliance needed rapid replacement. The service we have received has been excellent and we look forward to continuing to work with the F&D team. We appreciate their friendly, helpful approach and their efficient handling of our property. Highly recommended.

We contacted Farmer and Dyer due to seeing the property on Indeed.co.uk They were extremely helpful and managed to arrange us a viewing in short notice. We viewed the property 3 times before we decided to put down the deposit as we had a negative experience with a previous property we rented. They were very understanding and did not rush us and answered all questions. They sent over all paperwork by email with all the details needed and explained everything along the way. Referencing was completed easily with no issues. We requested the property was painted before moving in as it is an old house which was no problem at all. Upon the move in date I met the person doing the inventory who pointed out a few things to me and where everything is such as meters and water tank etc. Since moving in I have had a few questions about the bills which they have replied very promptly which is appreciated.Overall a great experience. Spoken to a few people now including Judy, Holly and Louise. All very helpful!

A friendly team, quick communication and a wonderful house. Farmer and Dyer have been very helpful after we moved in and offer a more personal service than some of the larger estate agents. We had a few problems with the referencing agent, Homelet so I would recommend checking the status of applications yourself to ensure a successful process.

As a private tenant I've had to use many different letting agents throughout the years, and Farmer and Dyer is the only one I would ever be comfortable recommending - and highly - to others. I've rented two properties from them over the past four years and they've never been anything other than friendly, courteous, professional and prompt. They've taken any and all issues I've had seriously over the years and dealt with them very quickly, going above and beyond in some cases. Broken down boilers were always dealt with immediately, I was always given plenty of advance notice for any required works or visits and check ins/outs were professional and fair. At one point Judy helped put pressure on the apartment block management company to install a new secure intercom and door entry system after some minor vandalism in the insecure common hallways, which I was hugely grateful for. When moving from my last property with them, I had originally made an offer on a different apartment with a different agent. However after hearing what I was looking for in a new place, Louise showed me an apartment which wasn't listed yet and sounded like it matched my criteria. Suffice to say it did, and I'm happily letting it now. Being able to stick with Farmer and Dyer was a genuine plus point in its favour, which again is not something I would ever have said about a lettings agent before. Check out from the old apartment was smooth, check in to the new one was equally smooth, the apartment is in great shape - there's nothing more I could've asked from them.
