They're good. Really good. Honestly, I can't fault them.Things started, as they usually do, with a viewing where we got plenty of time to look around the house, meet the agent, talk to the vendor and so on. After that we went to the office and were offered a drink, and had a sit down meeting with their mortgage adviser who was extremely knowledgeable and spent over an hour explaining everything to us in a way we could understand. Things felt good and we moved forward.About two months into the process our conveyancing began to hit problems. Nothing to do with Hills, and too complicated to go into here. The point is, Hills were there for us throughout.The level and standard of communication was exceptionally good. I think the longest I had to wait to get through to a a human when calling up was about 10 seconds, and I was usually through to our property consultant (Lauren) in less than a minute. If they weren't available I was always given the option to leave a message, stay on hold, or get a call back, and even then I didn't have to wait long before I got what I needed.The last month, seven months into the purchase, was absolute hell. This could quite easily have been made orders of magnitude more frustrating if it weren't for the staff at Hills. Solicitors were chased by email and phone almost daily at times and the Hills staff were always calm, always pleasant, and took their time to listen and understand the issues.After we withdrew from the purchase there was no sudden change of attitude, no silence, no pushy sales tactics. Just the same level of service, an expression of good wishes, and an offer to help if there was any further assistance we needed.These guys are seriously, seriously good, and I'd go back to them any day.
