Introduction
Hockeys heritage is unquestionable. Established in Cambridge in 1885 by William T. Hockey, the firm has been selling homes in the city and surrounding villages for over 130 years.
You will find that our staff are as people-motivated as they are sales-motivated and we will take the time to get to know our clients, their property and their aspirations.
Of course, if you are selling your home through us then our main priority is to put all our efforts into achieving a smooth sale and at the best price.
If you are buying a property through us we appreciate that the process can be occasionally stressful, so we hope you will welcome some time and advice from us along the way. The sale or purchase of your home is not just another transaction to you - and neither is it to us.

Jeremy has been an estate agent for over twenty years and started his trade as a trainee sales negotiator in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
Within one year he was promoted to the position of valuer, in a busy city centre office in Ipswich, before being promoted again a few years later to become a branch manager.
Jeremy's first branch was in Bury St Edmunds, but he was later asked to manage the Huntingdon and Cambridge offices as his employer recognised his ability to turn around under performing estate agency branches.
Another promotion came in 2008 when Jeremy was offered the position of area manager, starting with four offices in Cambridge and then onto eleven offices across East Anglia.
In 2011 Jeremy was offered the opportunity of joining Hockeys as an associate before opening up the Willingham office in 2012.
Now, five years later, Jeremy is the proprietor of Hockeys, along with his wife Samantha. After growing up in Linton, Cambridgeshire and having lived in Milton, Swavesey and Over, he now has now settled in the village of Pidley, Cambridgeshire.

In 2018 Harriet moved from a local competitor after 19 years; eight of those years working in direct competition with her new business partner, Jeremy Trott.
Coming from a corporate background, she explains, "I am looking forward to using my unique skills to complement the traditional style of service at the family-run business, with the aim of moving forward and expanding further. Jeremy and I share a passion for giving customers the very best experience; moving house is not just about customer service - we are privileged to be a part of people's lives, sometimes over the course of many years".
Living in the local area for more than 13 years, Harriet has worked predominantly in the villages during this time and has been actively involved with community events and sponsoring local causes.
Her reputation for success at selling houses is undisputed. "Time and time again, as estate agents, we find ourselves re-entering people's lives", she explains. "Sometimes it is for exciting reasons and other times house moves come as a result of more challenging situations and whatever the circumstances, it is impossible not to build relationships with clients that don't last, especially in an area like this and at a time of growth and change".

Seller Testimonial
"Communication was excellent, I was kept informed at each stage without having to chase. Communication by email made life easy and more efficient than waiting for 'phone calls. Thank you for a very professional service.

"We've twice bought and sold through Hockeys and on both occasions we couldn't have hoped for a more positive experience. From valuation to completion, Jeremy and Alex worked tirelessly to ensure we were kept up to date, matched our house to the perfect buyer and found a lovely new home for our growing family. Their fee was very reasonable and entirely worthwhile for a very quick sale and peace of mind. A highly recommended local agency."

"This was my first time buying through Hockeys but I would recommend it to anybody. Joe was straight forward and honest with me from the start and stayed responsive throughout the process which is everything I want from an Estate Agent. If I were to move again I wouldn't hesitate to use Hockeys".

"Joe has been outstanding at keeping us up-to-date with progress on our house purchase. I won't hesitate to return to Hockeys if we ever look to sell - although I'm hoping we've found our family home for many years to come!"

Buyer Testimonial
"We used Hockeys for a recent purchase of a property in Cambridge. As first time buyers, the process of a house purchase was both novel and complex. The team at Hockeys were fantastic, particularly Alex Milne who worked very hard to make sure that we were fully briefed on the process, kept updated on the status of our purchase, and would try and get updates for us when the process went quiet. Our purchase was quite lengthy due to other buyers within the chain, and despite frustrations Alex was constantly positive and reassured us when we felt frustrated. We would highly recommend Hockeys and their team for any purchases or sales that you may have"
