    Survey Department

    RICS Homebuyer Reports and Valuation Reports

    The RICS Homebuyer Report identifies what the surveyor considers as the most important issues that you should be aware of. By applying condition ratings of red, amber and green to the elements of the building, services, garages and outbuildings, etc, our surveyor will tell you whether the defects are serious or urgent. It also includes the surveyor's opinion of market value and reinstatement cost for your insurance purposes.

    You may only require an independent assessment of the property's value and this report includes a limited inspection, similar to a mortgage valuation.

    We also carry out valuation surveys for a variety of other purposes such as commercial valuation, landlord and tenant, marriage value, energy performance certificates, planning advice, feasibility studies etc.

    Philip Weeks (Director)

    Philip's local connections go back a long way, growing up in Bembridge and  attending Bembridge School from 1972 to 1982 before moving to the mainland to and working along the South Coast of England. His wide ranging experience includes business consultancy for various national organisations and supporting leadership training and business management for the internationally renowned Dale Carnegie training and development organisation.

    After returning to the Island Philip joined the Partnership to run the Bembridge Office and although still very much involved he now oversees the Shanklin Office dealing particularly with the local developers along the south coast of the Island.

    Loren Allen (Team Leader)

    Loren has worked across the east side of the Island since 2011 gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience of local properties and market trends on the way.

    Currently working in our Shanklin Office, Loren thrives on the variety each day brings from advising on seaside apartments through to large country homes and everything between. Working with vendors and purchasers from the initial valuation to handing over the keys on completion, Loren prides herself maintaining regular contact and comprehensive updates throughout each sales process.

    Having worked in both Sales and Lettings, Loren prides herself in having a broad understanding of both sides of the property business and thrives to uphold the excellent reputation one would expect from Hose Rhodes Dickson.

    Ellen grew up on the island living in Alverstone Garden Village and in her spare time horse riding and enjoying the sunny isle.

    Being the 6th generation of Estate Agents in her family she has been inspired to follow in her families footsteps.

    Ellen began with Hose Rhodes Dickson early in 2016 and hasn't looked back since. Recently gaining a Level 3 Customer Service Diploma ensures she can provide a high level of customer service that Hose Rhodes Dickson pride themselves on.

    Ben Eighteen (Sales Negotiator)

    Recently starting his Estate Agency career in our Shanklin Office, Ben has rapidly become an invaluable member of staff.

    Previously working as a PE Teaching Assistant, Ben has always had a passion for property and is delighted with his new adventure at Hose Rhodes Dickson. Quickly sinking his teeth into carrying out viewings, negotiating and looking after sales through to completion; Ben is rapidly learning the ropes gaining vast knowledge and experience on the way.

    Originally from Hastings Ben moved to the Island with his family 5 years ago. Ben's great passion is football; either watching, playing himself or regularly coaching young Island teams at the weekends.

    Emily has recently joined the team at Hose Rhodes Dickson, after having a year already in the industry of Estate Agency.

    Before starting her work life Emily studied her A-Levels at Sandown Bay 6th Form. Emily has always been interested in property so decided that Estate Agency would be a great career path for her.

    Being an Island born girl who has grown up in Shanklin, she has a large amount of knowledge of the area. During her spare time Emily likes to go to the gym, meet friends and family, and enjoys travelling and visiting new places. Emily is a big animal lover, having her own pets at home.

    Starting with us in the Shanklin branch Emily will be learning the ropes with dealing with sales from beginning through to completion, undertaking viewings, speaking to potential buyers and matching them to properties.
