We felt that we wanted to write to express our appreciation following the sale of our house. We have been involved with seven house sales during our lives and had used six different estate agents. We have to say that none of those experiences were good from the point of view either of the estate agents or of the way in which the sales were handled. However, we had never used Jackson-Stops & Staff before. To be honest, we chose JSS because they had more 'Sold' signs in the local area than any other agent. We were very impressed and in no way did we regret our choice. The staff were always very professional in their dealings with us and with potential buyers but were friendly too. We appreciated the feedback forms which were sent to us on a weekly basis, giving details of viewings and follow-up communication. We found those particularly useful. Messages were always passed through promptly and acted upon swiftly. Communication was regular by both e-mail and telephone. We always knew the current position. However, the sale of our house was not the straightforward process that we had all hoped for. The first buyer pulled out of the sale three days after our proposed date for exchange, despite the hard work of both Chris and Darrell. The second buyer did eventually exchange contracts but only after a few last-minute delays and Chris's intensive and close monitoring of the chain. Chris, in particular, was dogged in his determination to ensure it did not fall apart. His confidence and reassurance was really appreciated.We would certainly (and are) recommending JSS to friends. In fact, we are now buying a property through JSS as well, so we will experience the process from the buyer's point of view too. (Chris may need a long holiday by the time we stop the daily telephone calls and disappear from the computer screen!) The Jackson Stops, Dorking team are without doubt the best local team to sell your house. Their systems are more efficient than others I have experienced but they are also relentlessly professional, courteous and good humoured. My house took a while to sell but their effort remained at 100% until the job was done. The selling chain further down the line was problematical but they went above and beyond with constant phone calls to all concerned. I think the chain may have collapsed without the efforts of the Dorking team. Having attempted unsuccessfully with another supposed 'high end' estate agent in Dorking we were left bitterly disappointed given their unrealistic over-promise and under-delivery. We initially brought in the services of Jackson Stops and Staff (JSS) to value our property and bid for our business. We also brought in the aforementioned agent as we had used a previous branch before. We were splitting hairs and the only reason the other company got our business was our previous experience with another branch: this was a mistake which cost us in terms of time and lots of effort in poor quality viewings.
