    David Mear - Head of Lettings
    I was born and raised in Surrey and, after gaining a Diploma in Business and Finance at the University of Central England, the early part of my career was in Area and Regional sales roles for non-property related businesses. A change of path took me to live in Spain where I fell into property sales and lettings. Soon after I set up my own lettings agent over there which I owned for 10 years before I sold it in 2013 to make the move to Yorkshire. That company is still letting property in the sun today! Recruited by Will Linley and Nick Simpson initially as Branch Manager of the Horsforth branch I progressed over the years to become firstly Area Lettings Manager, and then latterly Head of Lettings.

    Born and bred in North Yorkshire I attended Richmond School and lived in the area until the age of 20. I started my career in property at the age of 18 as a Sales Negotiator for a corporate Estate Agent in Darlington. Staying true to my North Yorkshire roots I moved to Ripon in 2008 and joined the Linley & Simpson family in April 2012 as a Lettings Consultant. I have since had a variety of roles within the company including Property Manager at Roundhay, and Lettings Manager in both Wetherby and Horsforth. The varied experience I have had since I first joined the team finally led to me taking the position of Branch Manager in Ripon when I returned from maternity leave.I aim to deliver a service that is second to none to sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants in Ripon and the surrounding villages.
