    Darlington is famous for its affiliation with the beginning of British Railways, celebrated within the Darlington Railway Centre & Museum. The world's first passenger rail journey took place in 1825 on the Stockton and Darlington Railway and later Darlington developed as an important railway town, with three large locomotive works.


    The local paper, The Northern Echo, was launched in 1870 and is a popular newspaper for most residents of the North East, with both national and international news. One of Darlington's best-known landmarks is the magnificent Market Square Clock Tower, completed in 1864.

    I have over 40 years' experience working in Estate Agency. I started out as a Junior and progressed to become the First woman Branch Manager/Valuer for the company I worked for at the time. I have worked for two of the largest New Build companies in the Northeast, one as their Sales Manager. I was also a Sales Manager for a large organisation based in London who built and sold Industrial Premises in the Northeast. I left the industry to concentrate on helping my late husband run our own business but due to unforeseen circumstances I decided to return to Estate Agency a few years later. I currently work in Darlington Office as the Office Manager/Sales Progressor, a job I love doing, helping clients buy their dream homes. In my spare time, I love to be in my Kitchen to bake and cook and entertain friends and family. I would say I am a bit of a foodie because I do enjoy visiting new restaurants. I also love to go for walks with my black Labrador Denis.

My job title is 'Office therapy dog', always on hand to give all members of staff cuddles and love. The staff adore me and who can blame them.
