    Torquay and the surrounding area...
    One of three beautiful towns forming the sheltered Tor Bay, Torquay is renowned for its warm climate, clear bathing waters and clean air. 

    The local beaches form a golden arc around the bay with shingle coves scattered nearby.Torquay became fashionable for Naval officers and other affluent families during the first half of the 19th Century, which prompted the building of many large stylish villas and exclusive hotels. Today, Torquay is well served with direct rail links and by road via the A380 to the major cities of Exeter (22 miles) and Plymouth (38 miles).

    The town provides a wonderful quality of life for its residents with excellent shopping, waterside restaurants, a theatre and bars. Internationally renowned water sports are held in the sheltered deep water bay, with the marina providing excellent mooring facilities for luxury yachts and small motor cruises. The area has many scenic walks along South Devon's Jurassic coastal footpaths and there are a number of local golf courses within close reach. A short distance to the north is the magnificent Dartmoor National Park.

He specialises in the management of both large estates and mixed property portfolios throughout the South West as well as ad-hoc professional services work, including formal valuations and Landlord and Tenant matters.Miles has worked in the South West since 2011, after a year practicing from Oxford and obtaining a first class Honours Degree in Land Management from Harper Adams University.

    Richard Morris is an experienced land agent having spent over 30 years managing West Country property. He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), and a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (FAAV). He is Chairman of the Devon and Cornwall Rural Practice group for the RICS and a member of the RICS South West Regional Board.Richard practices across all aspects of rural property. He is actively involved in the day-to-day management of a number of rural estates and properties in Devon and Cornwall where he provides strategic advice and handles landlord and tenant matters, residential property management, rural grant schemes, and general practice.Richard loves solving problems and alongside dispute resolution provides valuation and expert witness advice.Richard was raised on a South Hams dairy farm and initially trained with Stratton& Holborow (S&H) in Plymouth. After 10 years as a resident agent with the National Trust in Oxfordshire and Exmoor he returned to S&H in Exeter where through merger he became a Director of Savills.Richard has now returned to his roots at Michelmore Hughes where he first had a week of work experience whilst studying at the Royal Agricultural University.
