The property I was selling belonged to my father, now in a nursing home and my mother, recently deceased, and was vacant at the time. Initially Dan came to look at the property and value it for the purpose of settling my mother's estate, then later visited again with Lynn when the property went on the market. I followed their recommendation of valuation and from then on, handed everything over, including the keys to Lynn and Mel. The property was quickly advertised in the local paper and on internet sites. They handled all enquiries and viewings, all the time keeping me in touch with what was happening. When an offer was made, which I initially rejected, they negotiated an increase and we agreed on a price. They also recommended a solicitor who acted quickly and efficiently on my behalf. Once selected the M&B team of Lynne White and Melanie Henderson were diligent and proactive in marketing the property which facilitated a reasonably quick sale. They exuded confidence that they would find a buyer quickly. Once the buyer was found Lynne kept pressure on the various solicitors to ensure things moved at a steady pace keeping us informed at every stage. I don't think we could have been served any better. We asked three agents to visit and give a valuation. Dan Bryant stood out from the rest with his enthusiasm for the property we were selling and explained thoroughly what his agency would commit to in the promotion and selling process. After his initial visit he got back to us promptly with the paperwork and also arranged to obtain professional photographs that we had paid for through another agent. This was in contrast to another agent who took nearly two weeks to write to us following an valuation visit! Dan Bryant was very proactive and also a keen photographer, clambering up a steep railway embankment to capture a stunning aerial view of our house! (see attached). The rest of the staff at the Yelverton Office came to see the house so they could be knowledgeable during viewings and kept in regular contact. Handled the property in a very professional way and got results. The property had been in the hands of another local agent for quite some time but was moved to Mansbridge a few months ago to get a sale. The House Brochure produced was of excellent quality with lots of lovely photos showing the house at its best. A 'Gem' of a brochure! Lots of viewings and after each one we were given feedback. Mansbridge and Balmant were extremely helpful throughout our year-long search for a property. When it came to purchasing and negotiation, the whole process was very professional and smooth. However, the really good service came after the purchase was agreed - unusual, I know - as Melanie kept us in the loop with any news or progress. I have to say that our solicitor was not particularly good at updating us with important information, but Melanie seemed to somehow fill the gap here as well, confirming our completion and exchange dates. We had excellent service from Lynne White and other members of the team. Having committed to buying our chosen property which was empty at the time, we were concerned that there might have been unnoticed damage in the recent storms. Living a 4 hour drive away we phoned the office and one of the team actually volunteered to go and look around the house to put our minds at rest. He phoned back the same afternoon to say that all was fine. During the latter stages of the the legal process before exchanging contracts a problem was encoutered by our solicitor. Although I did not sell my house through Mansbridge even though they valued it for me, they alerted me to a house that had just come onto the market that turned out to be ideal for me to buy. Melanie was so helpful and although I often felt like I was nagging her, she was polite and willing to do what she could to help things along.
