Last year most property sales in Carters Clay involved detached properties which sold for on average £545,250. Semi-detached properties sold for an average price of £338,738, while terraced properties fetched £342,867.
Carters Clay, with an overall average price of £442,196 was more expensive than nearby Romsey (£339,427) and Romsey Extra (£319,210), but was cheaper than Ampfield (£662,129).
During the last year, sold prices in Carters Clay were 6% down on the previous year and 20% down on 2008 when the average house price was £550,896.
