Last year most property sales in Lynton involved detached properties which sold for on average £362,380. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £195,500, while flats fetched £152,700.
Lynton, with an overall average price of £255,704, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Lynmouth (£257,333), but was more expensive than Combe Martin (£239,843) and Ilfracombe (£164,963).
During the last year, sold prices in Lynton were 8% down on the previous year and 9% down on 2006 when the average house price was £280,921.
