Most of the sales in Shirley over the past year were semi-detached properties which on average sold for £527,758. Flats had an average sold price of £343,189 and terraced properties averaged at £453,921.
Shirley, with an overall average price of £479,900, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Upper Shirley (£502,182), but was more expensive than Croydon (£373,135) and Addiscombe (£379,875).
In the past year house prices in Shirley were 8% up on the year before and 27% up on 2015 when they averaged at £376,421.
