Where are homes selling fastest?
If you’re listing your home for sale soon, as well as wondering how much it could be worth, you might be wondering how long it might take to find a buyer.
Right now, the national average time on market is 62 days, but this can vary depending on where you live in Great Britain. Our Speed of Market tracker takes a real-time look at how long it takes for homes to sell in different areas, and we can reveal the areas where homes are selling most quickly.
The average time to sell a home is currently just 34 days in Scotland, which is where all of the top 10 quickest markets are. This is similar to the trend we saw earlier in the year.
Grangemouth in Stirlingshire is now the fastest-selling area across Great Britain, with homes taking an average of just 16 days to sell. The Glasgow commuter towns of Giffnock and Uddingston are close behind, each averaging 18 days listed for sale.
In England, areas in the North East take four of the top five spots, with homes in the Newcastle suburb of Heaton taking just under four weeks to find a buyer.
