Rightmove launch charity fund for agents event costs
Your charity event set-up costs are covered with the Rightmove charity fund
Agents choose to raise their profile in their local communities in many ways and organising charity fund raising events has proved to be very worthwhile for not only the great causes supported but also helping agents increase local respect and brand reputation.
How much more could be raised if more individuals, teams and businesses within the profession had their charitable event start-up costs covered by a £100,000 fund? Would it help more events to get off the ground, give more agents the confidence to think bigger with their fund raising targets and raise millions more for charity as well as boosting local and industry reputation? Well that challenge is now a reality as Rightmove has set up a £100,000 fund which will be used to support estate agents and house builders to cover the set-up costs of charitable fundraising activities, encouraging more successful events and maximising the amount that can then be donated to good causes.
Announced at the Lettings LIVE conference the Rightmove fund will be administered by Agents Giving, the industry charity for estate and lettings agents and their suppliers. They will support the scheme by “topping-up” charitable monies channelled through it by 10%.
Miles Shipside of Rightmove says: “We believe that the industry doesn’t always get the credit it deserves for all the charity efforts it undertakes, so it’s great for us to be able to encourage and support fundraising in a tangible way, through working with Agents Giving and the Home Builders Federation. We hope the £100,000 Rightmove fund stimulates even more fundraising and gives agents and developers a further spur to give and gain pleasure, and further enhance their local good name. Success will look like millions more being raised encouraging more agents and developers to help improve more people’s lives and help everyone enjoy the fruits of the industry’s excellent efforts.”
