The amount of people continuing to book their summer holidays to Spanish property and other destinations is holding steady, new research has revealed.
According to the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO), 77 per cent of holiday-makers intend to travel as much as they did in 2008, with 72 per cent stating they intend to spend the same amount of money on their Spanish property getaway.
Bob Atkinson, travel expert at Travelsupermarket.com, said: "For those people who are still looking to travel this year, there are still a good number of bargains, especially on long haul travel and to places like Spain.
"People who are travelling are snapping up air travel and holidays at prices we have never really seen before."
The AITO survey also revealed that 70 per cent of those intending to travel this year intend to holiday in Europe, which could prove advantageous for all those with Spanish property investments.
