A rise in the number of people taking trips by air could be good news for those who own overseas property and rent out their home during the winter months.
According to figures from the International Air Transport Association, air passenger demand rose by 0.5 per cent in October, which overall sees demand for air travel up by six per cent compared to March 2009.
Senior vice-president at OAG Aviation John Weber said that now, the aim it to make sure passenger growth is ahead of seat increases for the winter travel season.
He noted that the rise is "very positive" as "carriers only added back 0.1 per cent of seats in that same month".
Those who own property in Spain or a holiday property in France could be interested in the news of more demand for air travel, especially if they plan to rent out their overseas property during the traditionally quieter winter months.
