There are still hotspots to be found in the Spanish property market, it has been stated.

Writing about the country, the Liverpool Echo noted that Mallorca is a location where prices have been rising in the past 12 months.

The paper reported the comments of Liverpool-based Spanish property agent Ken Walker of First Class Mallorca, who stated that the appeal of the island is at its greatest level ever.

Mr Walker noted that it offers glamour and shopping, but also rugged and rural areas for exploring inland away from the crowds.

He also stated that the Costa Blanca is very good for scenery, although the best place of all for this is Calpe near Benidorm, accessible from the airports of Alicante and Valencia.

Another area of Spain that has been recommended is the Costa la Luz.

Daily Telegraph writer Fred Mawer recently rep said it is attractive to those wanting to avoid an Anglicised culture with "tacky" cafes, as it is an area with few Britons.
