Residents of property in Florida could be mistaken for thinking they have stepped back to 1982 as they walk by Walt Disney World Resort this summer.

That is because, with TRON: Legacy due to debut in the US on December 17th, the resort where dreams become reality is honouring the original Jeff Bridges movie by redesigning its monorail carriages as light cycles.

Styled in the yellow and blue colours that appeared in the original film 28 years ago, the ‘Tronorails’ feature a motif of the iconic cycles at their front, with the remainder of the carriage painted in the style of the trail of light left behind by the two-wheeled vehicles.

"This particular monorail currently takes guests between Epcot and Walt Disney World’s main ticket and transportation centre," the resort asserts.

During the summer months, property in Florida could be the place to live as Walt Disney World Resort has a series of after-dark events planned to make the most of the state’s balmy summer nights.
