Tourists looking for some of the most desirable property in Florida might want to look at the St Petersburg and Clearwater area as one option.
David Downing, assistant director at Visit St Petersburg Clearwater, explains that both of the communities are "tourism jewels in Florida's crown".
Among the reasons why they rank among the most attractive locations for tourist property in Florida are their cultural offerings and award-winning beaches.
New attractions are also opening as time progresses, including the recently launched Dali Museum.
"The UK is the single largest international market to the St Petersburg and Clearwater area and we're fortunate to have great loyalty among our British visitors," says Mr Downing.
He adds that there are also more ways to reach the area, with direct flights to Tampa Bay on a daily basis from London Gatwick Airport due to begin in April 2011.
These represent an expansion of the existing British Airways service to the Sunshine State.
