It seems that more Brits are seeking out property in the Caribbean, with Aruba proving a particular hotspot.
Figures released by the Aruba Tourism Authority show that visitor numbers from the UK increased by 26 per cent year-on-year during 2010, with the organisation anticipating further rises this year.
The organisation also pointed out that there are a number of projects and developments on Aruba that could make it even more attractive to those seeking property in the Caribbean.
In November, the Aruba in Style event will be launched and see many of the designer retail outlets on the island taking part in the fashion extravaganza.
Meanwhile, the authority also announced that construction on a linear park – which will be the largest in the Caribbean – started in January.
When it is completed, visitors will be able to enjoy a green area stretching for ten miles and featuring numerous cycle paths and walkways, as well as plenty of locations to sit back, relax and enjoy the sea views.
Last month, the organisation highlighted some of the reasons people head to property in Aruba, including its dry, warm climate, its location outside the hurricane belt and the varied landscapes, which include white sand beaches, rugged cliffs and stunning rock formations.
