Staying in property in France around Nice during the city's carnival period is a great way to banish the winter blues and enjoy the festivities, it has been noted.
Writing for the Telegraph, Anthony Peregrine explained why the city in the south of France has so much to offer between February 18th and March 8th when it hosts its annual carnival.
"During the carnival, the town's Latin exuberance bubbles over in a cacophony of vast floats, street performers, the silliest possible giant figures and flower-chucking pretty girls," he stated.
In addition to soaking up the atmosphere of the festivities, there are plenty of other sights to see during a visit to Nice, which is why you may want to choose the city for your stay in property in France.
Mr Peregrine highlighted the flower market on Cours Saleya, the Baroque churches that can be found around the city and the Promenade des Anglais – which is the perfect place to take a seaside stroll.
The theme of this year's carnival is King of the Mediterranean, with a focus on geography and how it has shaped history, as well as nature and conservation.
