New builds in Spain, including Costa Blanca Property – are now being constructed to higher quality levels, a new report has found.
InspectaHomeSpain’s new Snagging and Buying Trends 2007/2008 survey has revealed that the number of defects per property was down for each and every kind of home compared with the previous study two years ago.
It also found that the legal obligation to provide a certificate of habitation before the completion of a property was being largely recognised, with 83 per cent of dwellings in the sample having one issued, compared to only 11 per cent in 2006.
Such findings may reassure those looking to buy on the Costa Blanca that the quality of homes being constructed is getting better.
Another positive factor for the Costa Blanca is news of a recent rise in tourist numbers.
The aggregate of passengers passing through Alicante Airport in July, August and September were all up on the 2007 totals for the same months, figures from the Spanish airports authority Aena have shown.
