A conservation law prohibiting the situating of bars within 100 metres of the shore in Andalucia is to be enforced on the Costa del Sol, which will see beach bars becoming a thing of the past.

The law was introduced in 1988 but has not been enforced before now, with the decision to bring it to bear now meaning that hundreds of bars and restaurants will need to move.

Although some may prefer the proximity to the beach the bars provide now, some Costa del Sol property buyers may look forward to a situation in which beaches may be quieter, with less alcohol contributing to a better atmosphere.

Earlier this month a new website was launched by Andalucian Dream Homes to provide property buying opportunities, something that may show how many bargains there are available for Costa del Sol property buyers at present.

Marketing director of the firm Adam Godwin commented that there are some "stunning bargains" available.
