How do you celebrate being a world champion diver before you have even hit adulthood? With a holiday to a Spanish property if you are 15-year-old Tom Daley.

The British diving sensation, who beat competition nearly twice his age to scoop gold in the World Championships in Rome earlier this week, will take the Spanish property trip before getting stuck back into training for London’s 2012 Olympics.

Daley tells the Telegraph: "When I was eight I was given a notebook and on the front I drew a picture of myself diving and the words, ‘London 2012 Olympic Champion’.

"The International Olympic Committee hadn’t even chosen London back then, and I’d only been diving for a year, but I think it was a premonition."

The confident youngster will be have time for some much-needed rest and relaxation before starts on his next sporting adventure.

His planned gold medal celebrations over the coming weeks include a Spanish property holiday, eating pizza, watching movies and catching up with his friends, the newspaper reports.

Daley made history at the World Championships by becoming Britain’s first ever individual diving champion.
