More people could be heading to property in France or Spain for a holiday in 2010 if one travel expert is to be believed.

Speaking at the Dubai Airshow, director of product management at Expedia.co.uk Jonathan Cudworth said that holidaymakers are set to return to the eurozone next year.

Such news could be of interest to those who own European property in France or Spain and are looking to rent out their home in 2010.

However, sporting events are set to influence where people take a break, he said.

Also talking at the Dubai Airshow, chief operating officer of Airbus John Leahy said that the travel sector is currently gearing up for potential business improvement in 2010.

"At this particular junction, we see the market improving, not deteriorating. Six to nine months ago, people were talking about delaying or cancelling. I’m not hearing any of that at this airshow," Mr Leahy said.
