Disney has provided Star Wars fans with more reasons to head to Florida property this summer and join in the annual Star Wars Weekends festival.

Residents of Florida property have already been told to look out for characters including Star Wars stormtroopers in the area around Walt Disney World itself.

However, now fans of the film franchise are told that they can join the Jedi Training Academy and find out for themselves if the force is with them.

The weekend events are due to take place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from May 21st through until June 13th.

In addition to the academy, attractions include autograph signing sessions, meet-and-greet opportunities and the world-famous Disney parades given a sci-fi makeover.

"The power of the force and the magic of Disney combine in Star Wars Weekends," Disney claims.

"Walt Disney World guests of all ages are attracted to the annual sci-fi fan-fest."
