A rise in the number of people taking holidays to the US could help those who own Florida property fill their rental homes this Christmas.

According to travel firms Travel Counsellors and Hayes & Jarvis, bookings to take festive breaks in Orlando, Florida, are enjoying popularity with British holidaymakers.

Travel Counsellors noted a 41 per cent increase in Christmas bookings to the destinations, which could be of interest to those who rent out their Florida property to tourists.

As well as this, Hayes & Jarvis said that holidays to the US are "selling like hot cakes".

Commercial director of Hayes & Jarvis Niel Alobaidi said: "This does indicate that confidence is returning to the market and people are keen to take advantage of some quite lucrative early-booking incentives."

Such news could be welcome to Brits who own Florida property as it could point to a rise in the number of people choosing to holiday in the state.
