Florence Lecointre, international press officer for the French Riviera Tourist Board, said that the region is full of activities to engage in for travellers or anyone looking for a property in France.

"Concerning the activities, you can rent a luxurious car, on your own or with a driver. You can have a transfer by helicopter and a tour with a helicopter of a private jet," she enthused.

Nice is the largest city in the region and Ms Lecointre added that the city has lots of museums and markets to visit as well as being close to other famous locations such as Cannes and Monaco.
