Traveller trends suggest international visits to property in Florida are growingFigures from the Airports Council International (ACI) suggest that overseas visitors to property in Florida may have played a part in a noteworthy trend in September.

Over the course of the month, total passenger traffic on global airlines rose by nine per cent.

But those heading to property in Florida may have been part of a larger trend, as international arrivals to North American destinations spiked by 7.5 per cent while domestic journeys rose by 3.6 per cent.

At more than double the internal traffic increase, the disparity was greater in the continent than any other region of the world.

Overall, the 10.5 per cent growth in international travel across all regions outperformed increases in domestic journeys, which totalled 7.5 per cent globally.

ACI is the world's only professional association covering airports located in all areas of the globe and, in Europe alone, covers 46 countries and 400 member airports.
