There are currently no reasons not to visit property in Florida, according to a local tourist official.
Will Seccombe, chief marketing officer for Visit Florida, explains that the Florida Live website offers live webcam views and time-stamped photographs of the state's beaches, showing them free of oil and unaffected by the Deepwater Horizon leak in the Gulf of Mexico.
However, he has some advice for people who still have any doubts about travelling to property in Florida's tourist areas.
"Just see for yourself – I can understand not believing the marketing guys," Mr Seccombe suggests.
The inland areas of the Sunshine State could be an alternative for people discouraged from heading to the beaches.
Here, kayaking, mountain biking and hiking can all be enjoyed amidst the "natural wonders" of Florida that Mr Seccombe says are often neglected by tourists.
Orlando remains "the Mecca for family vacations", he adds, providing a further excuse to head to the state in the months to come.
