Travellers heading to property in Florida from Manchester Airport may find they have no need to stop on route to Orlando.
Since November 2008, the airport has found awareness of its routes falling – and is taking action to counteract this trend.
A tenth more people are now unaware of what non-stop flights are available to the US, with two per cent more saying they are not entirely certain of the options.
Similar figures are cited for direct flights with a single stopover along the way.
However, Orlando is one of the destinations to which direct non-stop flights depart every day from Manchester Airport, making property in Florida easier to reach without delay.
Andrew Harrison, the airport's new managing director, says: "We want to win back the one million or so passengers we're losing from our catchment area and remind them about the range of routes we offer from Manchester."
