A real estate auction will be held in Orlando on April 2nd, it has been announced.

Zetabid will be holding the sale in the city with over 20 of the 100 central Florida homes up for offer being Orlando property lots.

These will be varying types of home from single family homes to condominiums, the property auctioneering firm has said, with prices ranging from $5,000 to $102,000 (£71,000).

Chairman of the company Bob Bellack commented: "Zetabid’s auctions are outstanding opportunities for investors, as well as first-time home buyers and trade-up buyers, to pick up terrific bargains."

He added that the market for cheaper homes has "heated up considerably" recently as investors are able to generate cash flows from such assets in a way that was not possible a year ago.

Such a prospect may entice those thinking of investing in Orlando property.

Earlier this month the Orlando Regional Realtor Association produced figures showing that house sales in the city in February this year were 28.1 per cent up on the same month in 2008.
