Those who wish to enjoy Spanish property in a city with an authentic Hispanic flavour could consider Palma on the island of Mallorca, it has been suggested.
In a feature on upcoming European city prospects, the Times has stated that many see no more of Palma than its airport en route to the island’s beaches, which it states means that many are missing what the location has to offer.
UK investor Julian Harris, who bought a three-bedroom flat for £165,000 in the city five years ago, told the paper: "Palma is an incredibly attractive city, right on the sea, with a perfect climate and everything you want commercially and culturally."
Mr Harris has gone on to buy two more properties to let to visitors.
Those who are interested in buying Spanish property may consider Palma alongside other property on Mallorca.
Official figures from the Spanish airports authority Aena show that over 23 million people passed through Palma airport in 2007.
