Property in Portugal‘s capital, Lisbon, gives holidaymakers the chance to put themselves at the heart of a dance festival this month.

In late May and early June, the Alkantara Festival is due to take place, with performances linked by a common desire.

This, the city’s tourism authority explains, is "a desire to communicate with the spectator".

For people staying in property in Portugal between May 21st and June 9th, this means venues across Lisbon play host to dance and theatre performances.

Expatriates from a range of different countries can visit a performance by their countrymen, including a number of EU member states, Canada, the US, China, Japan and New Zealand.
