Those thinking of investing in property USA may wish to act soon, as an influx of people to the country is expected to occur this year.
According to Abta – The Travel Association, tourists are likely to flock to the USA following the inauguration of Barack Obama as president.
Spokesperson Frances Tuke noted that the election has brought "a whole new optimism" and that visitors who may have been put off by negative feelings towards George Bush are set to return.
"A lot of hopes are being pinned on [Mr Obama] and people will be quite keen to have a look into the new landscape and are quite excited about what it might mean," she said.
Last month Abta and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s Travel Trends report revealed that 13 per cent of Britons are more likely to visit the USA following the election of the 44th president, something that could be of interest to those making an investment in overseas property.
