Those who regularly visit Spanish property could agree with the view of one travel expert who said that the country offers Brits great value for money.
Marketing director at On the Beach Alistair Daly said that destinations such as the Canary Islands and Tenerife are popular with Brits.
"For 2010, we expect Spain to hit the top spot yet again as hoteliers and airlines compete to attract British holidaymakers," he said.
This could be of interest to those who own Spanish property and are looking to rent out their overseas home next year.
As well as this, people could be spending more on their holidays abroad, as figures from travelsupermarket.com showed that in the last quarter, the average holiday spend rose by four per cent from £301 to £312.
However, the fact that Spain offers good value for money could be of interest to the 18 per cent of Brits who only spend between £51 and £150 on a week’s holiday.
