The long-haul flight to property in Florida could be just the thing for anyone who sees their time aboard an aircraft as the perfect excuse for a break.
While the holiday itself offers a chance to get away from it all, if only for a few days, research from Holiday Extras indicates that many people want that feeling to begin as soon as they board the plane.
The majority of business travellers simply do not want their technology to be usable in the air – just six per cent of respondents said they would prefer their laptop or phone to work during the flight.
Holiday Extras' head of commercial Anthony Clarke-Cowell says: "People really want to have a hassle-free start to their holidays."
This makes it sensible to "look at everyday tasks in a different light as they prepare for a different mindset while away", he adds.
However, almost half (48 per cent) of those queried said they like to read during the flight – which could make a good book all you need to keep you occupied while on a journey to property in Florida.
Services offered by Holiday Extras aim to take the hassle out of holidays by allowing airport parking or overnight stays to be booked in advance, travel money to be ordered and insurance to be arranged.
