The Epcot World Showcase continues to provide residents of property in Florida with the chance to taste cuisine from across the globe.
Its most recent addition is Via Napoli, a pizzeria operated by the Patina Restaurant Group and the first eatery of its kind in the history of the park.
While it might seem surprising that the Epcot World Showcase has never before had an authentic Italian pizzeria, Disney says this is the first.
Nick Valenti, chief executive officer of Patina, says: “I have always loved the beauty of a simple Neapolitan pizza.
“It’s a perfect food, something beloved by both Italians and Americans.”
Mr Valenti learned the pizza-making trade in southern Italy where he learned recipes such as pagnotiello, folded pizza dough containing ham, mushrooms and mozzarella.
The Italian pavilion at the Epcot World Showcase also offers the chance for residents of property in Florida to see a replica of the campanile from St Mark’s Square.
