Architecture and interior

The super-structure of Dunregan House was built by professional boatbuilders on the steel hull of a traditional Thames flat-bottomed boat which was formerly used for transporting goods. Arranged on two floors and with a mighty steel roof, Dunregan House is currently set out as two independent apartments which could be combined to make one fantastic and very large single home.

The upper deck apartment is set out with a spacious light-filled living room with triple aspect and views up and down the River. This leads to two good sized double bedrooms with lots of clever storage and on to a fully functioning kitchen/dining room and then on to a good sized shower room. From the kitchen/dining room there is access to the roof terrace which offers spectacular views along the River Thames and would be a wonderful space for entertaining, growing plants and enjoying watching the sun rise and the sun set over the River Thames.

Rotherhithe has become a family-friendly place to live with outstanding primary schools, lots of green spaces and cycle paths. Nearby is The Mayflower pub, the oldest put on the River Thames and now a gastro pub, The Mayflower opened in the sixteenth century and is named after the ship chartered by the pilgrims who left for

America in 1620. The renowned Brunel Museum is just around the corner – testament to the ingenuity and innovation of Isambard Kingdom Brunel who built the first tunnel under the River which was opened in 1908. Around the corner from the Museum is the headquarters of the equally innovative Sands Film which is a centre of excellence for historical costumes used in major film and TV around the world. The adjacency of Rotherhithe to The City makes this one of the best kept secrets of London.

Transport and connections

Dunregan House is a few minute’s walk from Rotherhithe Station which is on the Overground line connecting it to Canada Water, Surrey Quays and South London and to Shoreditch and North London in the other direction. One stop from Rotherhithe is the interchange at Canada Water which links through to London Bridge and the West End and in a northerly direction up to Stratford International.
