Description

Rosemary Cottage occupies a lovely secluded semi-rural setting at Lower Brimley on the rural outskirts of the small town of Bovey Tracey, within Dartmoor National Park. The immediate surrounding area offers many lovely country walks and rides and the open Moor at Haytor is just a few minutes car journey away. The town of Bovey Tracey (about 1.5 miles) provides a good range of local shops and amenities including primary school, doctor's surgery, pharmacy, newly opened Lidl supermarket and numerous cafes/restaurants. A more comprehensive shopping centre is available in the market town of Newton Abbot, around six miles to the south, including a main line station with direct connection to London Paddington. The A38 at Drumbridges is only 2.5 miles away and provides quick and easy access to the cities of Plymouth and Exeter, where the road joins the M5 motorway link.

Rosemary Cottage is a mature semi-detached house that in recent years has been the subject of much improvement including the installation of an energy efficient air-source heat pump central heating/hot water system with multi-zone part underfloor heating, a stylish kitchen and a cosy wood-burner in the dining room. The ground floor enjoys good ceiling heights and the accommodation has also been attractively extended on the first floor to provide a fourth bedroom (principal bedroom) with en-suite plus a separate family bathroom. The ground floor bedroom could very easily be adapted to make a self-contained annexe for multi-generational living or an Airbnb letting unit.

Outside, Rosemary Cottage has a well planted and very private garden which like the house takes in far reaching views over neighbouring countryside and across Bovey Tracey. There is a substantial detached double garage building and summerhouse (both with electric) which would make a great home office/studio.
