Trumpington is a village. Fight me. It can’t be anything else or it wouldn’t have a village hall. Not very many years ago it felt like one too, but since 2013 a wonderful new community has grown up around it, linking it into the city and turning it into a bustling, self-contained suburb. It is exceptionally well located for access into the Addenbrooke's campus, out to the M11 and into the city by car, P&R3-bus, guided-bus, one of a few purpose built cycle routes, or even an enthusiastic walk. The city's mainline station can be easily reached along the guided busway / cycleway without having to mix with chaotic car traffic at all and construction for its own station, the Cambridge South, is now underway with expected completion of 2025.
It is exceptionally well located for access into the Addenbrooke's campus & famous Papworth Hospital, the future world class Children Hospital has its site next to Addenbrookes, its site work has already commenced.
The area has three primary schools and a state-of-the-art secondary school built in 2016 with
