Description
Built in 1856 but recently refurbished sympathetically and modernised Greenway House and Greenway Lodge sit majestically on the edge of the vibrant market town of Narberth. Offering versatility for multi-generational living or a wonderfully spacious family residence all within just under an acre of private grounds these wonderful Victorian homes are opulent with historic charm and character mixed with luxury modern living.
Leading down a private driveway that splits; one to Greenway House, the other to Greenway Lodge these homes have historic charm a-plenty with original design features throughout, having undergone a complete refurbishment around ten years ago, concluding in an impressive period home with modern luxury comforts.
Greenway House
As you enter this stunning home the grand reception hallway offers the first glimpse of the quality and tasteful decor that is on offer in this truly unique home, through to the study with original archway (a fabulous find during renovation!). Splendid porcelain flooring with under-floor heating, throughout the ground floor, powered by an air-source heat pump gives constant room temperatures and energy efficiency.
As the light floods through the large sash windows of the dining room, complete with original shutters, the fantastic high ceilings with intricate cornice, picture rail and ornate fireplace all give a ‘respectful nod’ to the history of this exceptional room. The same can be said of the relaxing lounge, with feature inset archway, fireplace, sash windows again with original shutters, high skirting, picture rail and expected large room proportions, so commonly loved in Victorian architecture.
The stunning modern breakfast kitchen opens out onto the seating and patio area for further entertaining, with fish pond. With beautifully designed wall units and base cupboards with complimentary work surfaces over, inset-sink with mixer tap, induction hob and oven, breakfast bar, display cabinets and integrated appliances. Pantry and Downstairs WC. To the rear of this room, would be the perfect place to create access (should it be required) to Greenway Lodge.
Beneath the grand staircase you will find a doorway to a charming cellar, ripe for a formal conversion to more living space, or for continued use as a perfect wine cellar. As you climb the stairs to the first floor you pass an impressive window that allows light to flood the stairway and landing, helping to highlight yet more original features. When you reach the first floor you will find four beautifully appointed double rooms. The master bedroom with en-suite ‘freestanding’ bath, past a dividing wall is a truly creative use of space and offers an indulgent space. Natural light cascades into each of these rooms from the wonderful sash windows, a family shower room with double shower enclosure with ‘waterfall mixer shower’.
The landing offers another potential access point to Greenway Lodge should you be considering combining the two properties into one impressive residence.
Outside
A detached double garage offers ample storage or potential for conversion (STP). A summerhouse currently used as a wellness centre is perfect for a home gym, mediation space or perhaps even a home office. Private lawns surround both properties and well-stocked borders with established planting create a wildlife haven without creating too much maintenance.
Greenway Lodge
Approached via its own separate driveway, offering privacy from Greenway House this wonderful home has inviting hallway, welcoming lounge with dual aspect windows that offer beautiful views across the gardens and on to the Preseli Hills, a substantial dining kitchen is fitted with a range of wall and base units, complimentary work surfaces, oven and hob, log burning stove within inset fireplace, exposed beams, dining area and seating area which all combine to create a fantastic ‘family room’, and with French Doors opening to the garden would make a great socialising space. An adjoining room makes a perfect children’s play room or a study with external door to gardens. Upstairs, four beautifully presented bedrooms, each with its own unique touches, master with en-suite shower room, there is also a laundry and a house bathroom.
Outside
With its own separate entrance, driveway and gardens.

Agents Comments
Greenway House with Greenway Lodge is a beautiful home ready for new occupants to move straight in without the need to change a thing, but for those looking to create a substantial family home in a wonderful town like Narberth there is great scope to utilise some, if not all, of Greenway Lodge to create an even bigger family home. While as it stands it offers a great opportunity for those seeking properties for multi-generational living, or perhaps for a rental income from holiday rentals. It is clear that the work carried out ten years ago was done without compromise and gives the new custodians of this fantastic home a great platform to start from and put their stamp on and as quite surprisingly it is not yet listed any changes new owners may want to make will not be subject to the same complications one would find with similar listed properties.
