Also, to the south-west, about 9 miles, is the sandy beach at West Wittering and the National Trust’s East Head sand dune spit at the stunning entrance to Chichester Harbour.
There is a great selection of well-regarded both state and private schools in the area with the C of E Primary School in the city and the local Saint Philip Howard Catholic School, Dorset House, Slindon College, Seaford College and Lancing College.
