About JOHNS&CO, City and Wapping

GO3 Cordage House, 15 Cobblestone Square London E1W 3AS

About Us

Formerly known as Wapping-on-the-Woze, Wapping's history dates as far back as the 13th Century with its strong ties to the maritime industry. Traditionally the area was synonymous with pirates and rather eerily, public executions. In fact, the most famous and oldest of the pubs in Wapping, 'The Prospect of Whitby' still has a wax figuring still hanging at the execution dock. Despite this sombre past, Wapping is full of fascinating and intriguing cobbled streets and antique warehouses. Tobacco Dock is also located in the heart of the area, which is perfect for gigs, conferences and even the odd gin festival or two.

Our Wapping office is located within the 21 Wapping Lane development, making us perfectly placed to help you buy or rent property within this development and the surrounding area.
