Description
Set behind a neat front garden that provides parking, the front door opens to a useful porch. The sitting/dining room extends across the front of the building and has a lovely, cosy atmosphere with exposed beams and pretty windows. At one end is a sitting area set around a fireplace; at the other, there is plenty of space for a table and chairs. The staircase rises from the corner of the room to the first floor, and there is storage under. The kitchen/breakfast room to the rear of the building is beautifully fitted with a range of cabinets set above and below the working surfaces. There is a built in oven and gas hob with extractor over and space for dishwasher and fridge freezer. At the far end is a conservatory/dining space that extends into the garden, this has lovely views and double doors out. The adjacent utility room has a back door, space for a washing machine and dryer, and a modern cloakroom off.
On the first floor, the landing opens to three bedrooms: two doubles and a single. There is also a beautiful bathroom fitted with a bath with a shower over, w.c and hand basin.
Outside, the rear garden is a real oasis of peace, enjoying a sunny south east aspect. The garden is mature and well maintained with a patio adjacent to the house. At the far end is a useful insulated studio ideal as a work space or hobby room. There is also a brick outbuilding.
Harlton is an unspoilt village located a little over 6 miles from Cambridge, which is accessible via the A603 or through the villages of Haslingfield and Barton. There is some local shopping in Haslingfield and additional facilities in nearby Comberton.
Comprehensive shopping, recreational and cultural facilities are within easy reach to Cambridge City with its combination of ancient and modern buildings, winding lanes, excellent choice of schools and wide range of amenities.
For the commuter the A603 leads to the M11 and to the west via the A1198 to Royston and the A505. The A1 is approximately 20 miles to the west and there are regular train services available from Cambridge and Royston Stations with direct links to London. Local schooling includes primary schools at Haslingfield and Barrington.
The village also falls into Comberton Village College catchment, which has a sixth form, and also feeds into Hills & Long Road Sixth Forms in Cambridge.
