Description
Interact with the virtual reality tour and contact Forest Marble 24/7 to arrange your viewing of Beehive Cottage, a quintessential village home found in the very centre of Nunney. This highly sought after village, on the edge of Somerset's Mendip Hills, is just a few minutes from Frome and only eight miles from Bruton. The property is believed to date back to the late Eighteenth Century and its incredible character charm is apparent from the first approach. The partial thatched roof and the outlook over the market place make for a stunning frontage, and the period stone and timberwork within the property fully emphasise the history here. The accommodation is laid out over three levels, with bedrooms and bathroom on the first and second floors. The living space on the ground floor offers a large kitchen with dining area, a generously proportioned main reception room which enjoys a Jetmaster log burning stove, and from here you are semi-open plan to the sun room which has bi folding doors out to the garden. The garden is terrace style and from here you will be able to sit and relax alongside Nunney Brook as it quietly murmurs past. Improvements in recent years have been well considered and have really developed this home for the coming decades. Please follow this link to view the virtual tour:
What our Vendor Loves
"We went in search of an iconic property before discovering Beehive Cottage, and it doesn't come more iconic than a part-thatched cottage beside a medieval castle! We fully renovated it, transforming a previously cold and damp space into a warm and welcoming home for all seasons. Summers here are wonderful, with the French windows fully opening onto the riverside patio, a perfect spot for drinks, barbecues and relaxed afternoons taking in the castle view. The conservatory doubles as a winter garden. In colder months, the open fireplace and underfloor heating keep things wonderfully cosy. Although we're right in the heart of a welcoming and active village, double glazing ensures peace and quiet indoors. The village is very active and welcoming. Soon, we became actively involved in the community. We loved being steps away from the village shop, café and country inn, with Babington House, Bruton, Wells, and Frome just a short drive away. We'll particularly miss our dog walks in the nearby countryside and riverside paths."
