Description

THE PROPERTY

We do not use the adjective ‘unique’ lightly, but it is appropriate here, where several rare and valuable ingredients combine at Number 2, making it very special indeed. There is a stylish ‘bungalow like’ quality to this garden apartment (there is no property above), together with level, step free access to it from the designated parking space, throughout the apartment, and out onto its vast south facing terrace. This is ideal for those wishing to ‘future proof’, or for the elderly or infirm. The owners are fastidious people who have modernised the apartment to exacting standards where everything is stylish, impeccably presented and of real quality.

There are three double bedrooms, the main en suite, plus a superb shower room. The ‘living’ room is 24’ long, incorporating a dining area, cream contemporary kitchen and ‘Meile’ appliances. All principle rooms face south overlooking the 40’ terrace and communal landscaped garden, to the entrance of Port Pendennis Marina. The owners love this space and without sparing expense have rebuilt it in zero maintenance Millboard with a self-cleaning glass and stainless steel balustrade.

Challenger Quay is an exclusive gated community on the water’s edge, in an incredible spot just a few minutes’ level walk into town. This one is a gem and likely to appeal to the most discerning of buyers.

THE LOCATION

Challenger Quay is a prime  and much sought after waterside development completed in 1998 in an incredible position beside Falmouth harbour. The development lies on a promontory, alongside Port Pendennis and The Haven marinas, the lifeboat slipway and County Wharf Quay, being the destination for the town's visiting cruise liners.

Number 2 is set near the water’s edge in a remarkable spot facing south, overlooking its private terrace, the development’s landscaped garden and the marina entrance and tidal gate, where one observes the constant activity as yachts and boats arrive and depart from Port Pendennis inner marina. This area of Falmouth is great fun, with Challenger Quay positioned by the RNLI lifeboat station and berth and beside the docks  and wharf, where an ever changing variety of ships become temporary neighbours.

All the more remarkable is that residents of Challenger Quay enjoy access over the entrance to the marina, to Events Square, the Maritime Museum and Falmouth town beyond, all just a few minutes level walk away
